The main purpose of forging is to provide various industries with forged metal, which is more strong and durable compared to conventional castings and hot rolled products.

Production facilities of JSC "KMZ" Izhora-Metal" allow to manufacture a wide range of products (forgings, blanks).

The shop is equipped with forging equipment, cranes and manipulators of the appropriate load capacity:

• Forging complex consisting of the16/20 MN press (SIEMPELKAMP, Germany) and the 10 ton loader (DANGO & DIENENTHAL, Germany)
  Production capacity - 12000 tons/year
• Forging complex consisting of the press CKW630 (ZDAS, Czech Republic) and a 4-ton loader (PHANKE, Germany)
  Production capacity - 2000 tons/year
• Hydraulic forging press with the press-load of 1250 t and "MKRM-5" manipulator with 5 tons lifting capacity
  Production capacity - 6000 tons/year
• 2 tones steam-air forging hammer
  Production capacity - 600 tons/year
• 3.15 tons forging hammer
  Production capacity - 400 tons/year
• 1.3 tones steam-air forging hammer
